Wow! Back in 2018 most 0% beers and lagers were revolting. What a difference nowadays. Sure some still have a weird aftertaste but most are now drinkable. A lot of the lagers taste the same, which is a watery, weak lager. Not great but it does fill a void when you fancy a lager. A couple even taste real, well almost.

Where I can I've added on where you can buy in the U.K. I don't currently get any commission if you buy from Amazon.

Bitburger Drive 0.05% ★★★

Not too bad actually. A little watery but tastes like a real lager. My hubby and I thought it was a little like an alcoholic version of Heineken.

Nanny State 0.5% ★★★★

This one is very popular and it is easy to see why. It's a pale ale and tastes like the real deal. Fabulous deep colour and you could easily hide the fact your aren't drinking with this one. It is lighter than normal pale ales but does leave a slight bitter aftertaste. This is the one my trendy ale drinking hubby favours when on Dry January,

Staropramen 0.5% ★★

Very pleasant. Like others it does taste slightly watery but doesn't leave a horrid aftertaste like some do. Very drinkable.

Carlsberg Nordic 0% ★★

Tastes like a nice, watery lager. Easy to drink.

Closest I could find in the U.K.

Bernard 0.5%

Very strong smelling. Wasn't sure if trying to be an ale or a lager. Taste was good and was like drinking a strong beer. However, I struggled to finish the glass.

I couldn't find this one in the UK but the same brewery also does this one

Warsteiner 0% ★★★

One of the better 0%ers. Once again a watery lager.

Becks Blue ★★★

This one can be found in most shops and supermarkets as the only non alcoholic version of lager and it is pretty good. Great to get a crate in before any dry spell and for a Christmas party for any drivers.

Coral ★★★★

Delicious! Light, refreshing and downable.

Superbock 0.0% ★★★★★

Funny story with this one. It was served in a glass and I took and sip and thought it was the real deal. My hubby had a sip and thought it was real and so he drank it until the waiter returned. Nope, it was the non alcoholic version, it was just really really good. This for me is the standout winner, alongside Coral.

St Peter's Without ★★

Stout like beer. Flavour was a bit like toffee with a whiff of Guinness and burnt hops. Tasted like you are drinking a real beer.

Budweiser ★★

Tasted to me like normal Budweiser. My husband agreed but he doesn't like Budweiser. I enjoyed!

Erdinger Lemon and Grapefuit alkoholfrei ★★★★★

Erdinger Lemon

Erdinger Grapefruit

AMAZING! These are both so lovely. My favourite was the lemon flavour, it reminded me of a lager and lime. You can drink one in record time they are so good so buy lots. I find it hard to drink more than a couple of non-alcoholic beers but with these I would choose to drink not making do.

Estrella Gaclicia ★★★

Estrella

What a time to be alive, non alcoholic beer on tap.  This little beauty has been around for yonks but it is definitely seen more nowadays. Close your eyes and you can pretend it is the real deal. If you are trying to fool your friends remember to ask for a plain pint glass (and drink the head away).

Baktika ★★★

Baltika

A good non alcoholic lager, picked this up in the local off licence, the place was pretty much sold out bar these, they don't know what they missed.

Pure Brew ★★★★

Pure Brew

Anything by Guinness was bound to be good. Had a sightly sweet after taste but had much more flavour and substance than other beers. Up there with Nanny State, if not better.

Peroni Libera ★★★★

Peroni Libera

Pizza and beer night watching films. I thought it was very lovely but had a slightly sweet after taste. My husband thought it was one of the best, bar Super Bock.

Heineken 0.0% ★★★

Heineken

I swear they must have changed their recipe. Either that or I am just getting more used to non alcoholic lagers. When I first reviewd I hated it, it had such an unpleasant strong after taste. I would always groan inwardly when a bar only served Heineken. Now it is much better and I am more than happy to swig away.

Erdinger ★★★

Erdinger

One of the more common bar beers. Nice and steady and very nice. Big bottles mean two is the max I can put away. I think I will try with a dash of lime next time.

Punk IPA ★★★★

Punk IPA

Tasted just like a light version of Punk IPA.

Adams Ghost Ship ★★★

Adams Ghost Ship

Heavy and impactful. I got a slight aftertaste but no one else did. This is good but as the bar has been raised in the last couple of years this isn't as impressive as it might once have been.

Brooklyn Special Effects ★★★★

Brooklyn Special Effects

Believable beer, it was less watery than most and had a lovely flavour.

Jupiler ★★★★★

Jupiler

I love this lager! It tasted so good I checked the label several times to check if it perhaps had a smidge of booze in. Nope it really is non-alcoholic Highly recommend trying.

Claustnaler - Unfiltered ★★★★

Claustnaler

This is lovely. Quite strong too, I thought it was a bit like a Stella. I will be stocking up .

Cobra ★★★

Cobra

I think I have gone mad or they have changed the ingredients. I binned these the first time I had one. My husband bought by accident and I begrudgingly drank it. It actually wasn't bad. I even drank the second one.
